Reddit limits API access for new apps and blocks many requests from cloud servers, so Larvabot doesn't rely on a Reddit API key.
- Threads come from F5Bot alerts, Reddit's public feeds when reachable, and your search provider (site:reddit.com)
- Each thread gets a relevance score and a laid-back reply draft that says you built the product
Get set up
- Set up F5Bot for real-time alerts
- Add a search provider such as Tavily as the fallback
- Optional: SearXNG on a VPS gives Larvabot a reliable Reddit relay
- Only if you already have an approved Reddit API app: paste its client ID and secret in Settings → Reddit
Where it goes
In the dashboard, open Settings and find the Reddit (optional) section. Secret values are encrypted before they're saved and only their last four characters are ever shown again.

Staying free
Larvabot never posts to Reddit. You read the thread, edit the reply and post it yourself, or skip it.
