Reviewing the site profile

Every email and reply is based on the project profile. What each field does, what to fix first, and when to re-analyse.

The profile is what Larvabot believes about your site. Lead scoring, every email, every reply and every directory listing is built from it, so it's worth getting right. Find it on the project's Profile tab.

#What to check first

If you only have five minutes, check these four fields. They do most of the work.

  1. Pitch. One or two sentences on what the site is. It goes into every prompt, so make it plain and true.
  2. What you can offer. The only source of suggestions in emails. If it isn't here, Larvabot won't suggest it. List concrete things: a free tool, an embed, a discount, a guest post idea, a dataset.
  3. Audience and Segments. Who you're trying to reach, what they need, and where they are. This steers both lead scoring and community keywords.
  4. Cautions. Things the AI must never claim or topics to avoid. "Not medical advice", "don't promise uptime", "we're not affiliated with X".

#Every field, explained

#What the site is

FieldUsed for
NameSigning emails and naming the project in the dashboard
PitchEvery prompt: scoring, drafts, replies, directory copy
SummaryA longer description for context when scoring leads
CategoryDirectory picks and search phrasing
What you can offerThe only things an email may suggest
Value propsOne per line. Picked from to make each email relevant

#Who it's for

FieldUsed for
Audience (one line)A short version for prompts
SegmentsOne per line as segment | needs | where they are. Shapes lead scoring and where to look
Competitors / alternativesname | url. Powers "alternative to X" searches and helps spot people unhappy with a competitor
Search keywordsWords for finding leads and scoring relevance
ToneHow drafts should sound, e.g. "friendly, plain, a bit nerdy"
CautionsClaims to avoid and regulated topics

#Where to focus and ideas

Where to focus rates each channel (email, Reddit, directories…) as high, medium or low fit, with the reason. Ideas lists free or nearly free marketing ideas for this particular site. Both are advice for you; they don't change what runs.

#Email campaigns plan

Each planned campaign has a name, a goal (who to contact and why) and search queries, one per line. Tick remove to drop one, or fill in the empty card to add one. When you approve, these become real campaigns you can edit later on the Setup tab.

#Communities

FieldUsed for
Watch keywordsExact phrases matched in Reddit and Hacker News titles every couple of hours
SubredditsTheir newest posts are scanned for people asking
How people askPhrases searched on the web, forums and YouTube. Write them the way the person asking would
Niche forumsDomains of forums your audience uses. Discourse forums are searched directly
Stack Exchange sitesSite names like webapps or softwarerecs
YouTube searchesVideo topics whose comments attract the question (needs a YouTube key)
GitHub searchesOnly for developer audiences. Leave empty otherwise

Under the watch keywords, Keyword health shows how many matching posts each phrase had in the past year and in the last 30 days. A phrase with no posts in a year is highlighted: replace it with something people actually write. More on keywords

#Directories

Tick the starter lists that fit (general, games, dev, saas, ai, wordpress, fintech, africa, education) and add search queries for finding more places. Directories

#F5Bot keywords

One per line as keyword | flags | why. F5Bot's free plan watches 5 keywords per account, so the list next to it has a Copy the first 5 button, with each keyword's flags ready to paste into F5Bot's "Raw flags" box. F5Bot setup

#Saving and approving

Click Save profile (it sticks to the bottom of the screen) after editing. While the project is in review, save first, then click Approve & start: that creates the planned campaigns and switches the project on.

Short and true beats long and clever

The AI copies your wording closely. If the profile oversells, the emails will too. Write it the way you'd describe your project to a friend who's a bit skeptical.

#Re-analysing later

Changed your site a lot? Click Re-analyse site to read it again. It refreshes the analysis; review the result before saving, because it can overwrite your edits. For campaigns that the new plan suggests but you don't have yet, click Add suggested campaigns.
