Adding a project

Create a project from a domain. Larvabot reads your site and drafts a profile and outreach plan, and nothing runs until you approve it.

A project is one website you want to promote. Every project is independent: its own profile, campaigns, keywords, sender, tracking snippet and reports. Promote three sites? Make three projects.

#Create it

Click + next to Projects in the sidebar. The form asks for three things:

FieldWhat to enter
DomainJust the domain, like toolfork.net. No https://, no path.
Your nameHow emails are signed. Your real first name works best.
Send fromThe address emails come from, on this project's domain, like hello@toolfork.net. You can change it later on the Setup tab.

Click Create project. The button says "Reading the site and planning…" for about 20 seconds while Larvabot works.

#What happens during the analysis

  1. Reading. Larvabot fetches your homepage and sitemap, then reads up to six of its most informative pages (things like about, features and pricing). JavaScript-heavy pages go through Jina Reader.
  2. Understanding. The AI writes a profile: what the site is, who it's for and where they hang out, value props, competitors, tone, cautions, which channels fit, and a few extra marketing ideas.
  3. Planning. It drafts email campaigns (including competitor and brand-mention searches), community watch keywords, subreddits, "how people ask" phrases, F5Bot keywords and directory picks.

The project is created in review status: the sidebar shows a blue dot, and the project header says Waiting for your review.

Nothing runs yet

A project in review takes part in no jobs at all. No searching, no drafting, no sending. It starts only when you click Approve & start on the Profile tab.

#Next: review the profile

The AI is good at reading a site but it can't read your mind. Maybe it picked the wrong audience, missed your best feature, or listed a "competitor" you actually integrate with. Every email and reply is built on the profile, so a few minutes here pays off for months. Reviewing the site profile

#The project tabs

TabWhat's there
ProfileThe site analysis and plan. Edit, re-analyse, approve, pause.
LeadsEvery page found by email campaigns, by stage, with buttons to find, research and draft now.
ReviewDrafts to approve, scheduled emails and sent emails.
ConversationsThreads where people ask for what you built, with reply drafts.
DirectoriesThe directory checklist.
ContactsPeople you already know, and the send queue.
ReportsVisitors from outreach, activity and the lead funnel.
SetupSender, email setup check, tracking snippet and campaigns.

The numbers on the tabs are what's waiting for you: drafts to review, conversations worth replying to, directories to do and contacts to message.

#Pausing and deleting

  • Pause project (on the Profile tab) stops all jobs for the project but keeps everything. Resume project picks up where it left off.
  • Delete project and all its data is at the bottom of the Setup tab. It removes the project, its leads, emails, conversations, directories, contacts and visits. There's no undo.
