Google Gemini setup
The main brain: reads pages, scores leads and writes drafts.
What it does
Gemini is Google's family of AI models, available to developers through the Gemini API and Google AI Studio.
- Analysing your site into a profile and outreach plan
- Reading each lead's page and scoring how well it fits
- Drafting personal emails, follow-ups, community replies and directory copy
Get set up
- Create a key at Google AI Studio
- Paste it in Settings → AI → Gemini API key
- Optional: pick a model name in Settings; the default tracks Google's latest Flash model
Where it goes
In the dashboard, open Settings and find the AI section. Secret values are encrypted before they're saved and only their last four characters are ever shown again.

When Gemini's main model is busy (HTTP 503/429), Larvabot retries once with the lighter Flash-Lite model, then falls back to the next AI provider you've added, such as Groq. No paid fallback is ever used unless you add one yourself.

Leave Gemini model empty unless you have a reason: the default follows Google's latest Flash model, and Larvabot only falls back to Flash-Lite when you haven't pinned a model.

If drafts suddenly stop, open Jobs & providers and look at the Gemini row. A 429 there means the free daily limit is spent until tomorrow.
Fallback order
For AI, Larvabot tries these in order and skips any that aren't set up, are out of free quota or are busy. AI providers also have to pass the quality check on the Jobs & providers page.
