Get the extension

Add Larvabot from the Chrome Web Store (Chrome, Brave and other Chromium browsers) or get it from Microsoft Edge Add-ons. Firefox Add-ons is coming soon.

The Larvabot extension for Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Firefox puts your conversations in a side panel next to whatever you're browsing. It takes the copy-paste hunting out of replying: one click copies the drafted reply and opens the thread, and another marks it replied. It also lets you save a post you found yourself, on any site, with a right-click.

It's built to keep your accounts safe. The extension never reads the pages you visit and never posts for you: you paste and post every reply yourself, from your own account, the way each platform expects.

#Install and sign in

  1. Open Larvabot in the Chrome Web Store and click Add to Chrome. In Edge, open Larvabot in Edge Add-ons and click Get. (Firefox is coming soon to Firefox Add-ons.)
  2. Click the Larvabot icon in the toolbar (pin it from the puzzle-piece menu so it stays visible). The side panel opens. In Firefox it opens in the sidebar on the left.
  3. Click Sign in to Larvabot, sign in if asked, and click Allow access.

There are no keys to copy. To disconnect, choose Sign out in the panel's ⋯ menu, or disconnect it under Settings → Integrations.

#Reply in two clicks

The panel lists the conversations waiting for a reply, best first, across all your projects (pick one project from the menu at the top if you run several). Each card shows where the post is, how well it fits, the words that show the need, and Larvabot's drafted reply.

  1. Edit the draft in the box if you like. Your edits stay in your browser until you reply or skip.
  2. Click Copy reply & open. The reply is copied and the thread opens in a new tab.
  3. Click the reply box on the page, paste (Ctrl+V, or ⌘V on a Mac), check it reads right, and post.
  4. Back in the panel, click Replied. Not a fit? Click Skip. Both have an Undo.

Replied and Skip do the same as the buttons on the Conversations tab, so your reports and the dashboard stay in step.

#Keep a safe pace

Above the list, Replies today shows how many replies you've marked on each platform in the last 24 hours, next to a safe daily pace (Reddit 3, Facebook groups 2, LinkedIn 3, X 5 and so on). When you reach it, the cards for that platform say so. It's guidance, not a block: you decide. Hover the ⓘ next to a reply for that platform's main rule. More in Outreach without being a spammer.

#Save a post you found

Browsing a Facebook group, LinkedIn or a forum and spot someone asking for what you sell?

  1. Select the words of their post (a sentence or more).
  2. Right-click and choose Save to Larvabot.

Larvabot adds it to the project picked in the panel (or your newest project), scores it and drafts a reply, usually within a few seconds, and it appears at the top of the panel marked saved by you. Posts you save are always kept, even if they score low. Only the text you selected and the page's address are sent, nothing else from the page.

This is the easiest way to work private Facebook groups and LinkedIn, which Larvabot can't search on its own.

#The badge

The number on the toolbar icon is how many conversations are waiting for a reply. It updates every 30 minutes and whenever you use the panel.

#Troubleshooting

  • "Sign in to Larvabot again": your sign-in expired or was disconnected. Sign in from the panel.
  • The copied reply doesn't paste: click inside the page's reply box first, then paste. Some sites need you to open the reply box before it accepts text.
  • "Larvabot couldn't draft a reply right now": the post is saved; your AI key's free quota is probably used up for now, and the next run drafts it. See Jobs and logs.
  • Nothing in the panel: Larvabot checks for new conversations every couple of hours. Check the project's Conversations setup if it stays empty.
