Brevo (SMTP) setup
Sends the emails you approve, from your own domain.
What it does
Brevo is an email platform with an SMTP relay, so apps can send email as an address on your domain.
- Sending the first emails you approve, from your project's own address
- Sending threaded follow-ups until someone replies
Get set up
- Authenticate your domain in Brevo (DKIM and DMARC records)
- Create an SMTP key
- In Settings → Sending: host smtp-relay.brevo.com, port 587, your SMTP login and key
Where it goes
In the dashboard, open Settings and find the Sending (SMTP) section. Secret values are encrypted before they're saved and only their last four characters are ever shown again.

Larvabot sends one or two emails a day per campaign by default, only on weekdays inside a send window, and only emails you've approved. Each email has an opt-out line and a List-Unsubscribe header. Brevo expects its users to follow its sending policies, so keep outreach personal and low-volume, and check their terms for your use.

Any SMTP service works (Amazon SES, Mailgun, your host's mail server). Brevo is simply the most generous free one.
Larva tip
Send window is in UTC hours on weekdays, for example 7-16. Emails approved outside it wait for the next window.
Fallback order
For email, Larvabot tries these in order and skips any that aren't set up, are out of free quota or are busy.
