Telegram alerts
Get a Telegram message when a conversation fits your project really well, so you can reply while the thread is fresh.
The best conversations go stale fast: a question on Reddit or Hacker News gets its useful answers in the first few hours. Telegram alerts ping your phone when Larvabot finds one that fits really well, so you can answer while it matters.
#What triggers an alert
A message is sent when a new conversation scores 85 or more for relevance, on any platform. It includes the project, where it was posted, the title and the evidence the AI found, with a button to open it.
Nothing else sends alerts: no digests, no "your job ran" noise. Most days you'll get none or a couple.
#Set it up (two minutes)
- Create a bot. In Telegram, message @BotFather, send
/newbot, and pick a name and a username ending inbot. BotFather replies with a token like123456:ABC…. - Paste the token. In Larvabot, open Settings → Alerts (Telegram), paste it into Bot token and save.
- Say hello. Open your new bot in Telegram and send it any message.
- Detect. Back in Settings, click Detect. Larvabot reads who messaged the bot and fills in Your chat ID.
Only you can receive alerts from your bot, because only your chat ID is saved. If someone else finds and messages it, nothing happens.
Make it stand out
In Telegram, give the bot chat a custom notification sound. Then you'll know it's a good thread and not the family group chat.
#Turning alerts off
Clear the Bot token in Settings, or mute the chat in Telegram. You can also delete the bot from @BotFather with /deletebot.
