The Larvabot WordPress plugin: visitor reports without touching code
The Larvabot plugin for WordPress adds Larvabot's visitor snippet to every page of your site, so your Larvabot reports show which emails, Reddit and forum replies, directory listings and backlinks actually sent visitors. Install it, click Connect to Larvabot, pick your project and you're done: no editing your theme and no header-code plugin. The snippet sets no cookies, and Larvabot doesn't store visitors' IP addresses.

What the plugin does
One job, done well. Nothing to configure after connecting.
Connect to Larvabot
One click from Settings → Larvabot: sign in, pick the project for this site, and you're sent back connected.
Adds the snippet everywhere
Larvabot's visitor snippet loads on every front-end page, with defer, so it never slows your page down.
Paste instead, if you prefer
Paste the tracking key, or the whole snippet, from your project's Setup page.
Removes itself cleanly
Clear the key, deactivate or delete the plugin, and the snippet is gone; deleting removes its settings too.
Popular workflows
Which emails turned into visits
Links to your site in Larvabot emails carry a ref tag. With the plugin on, Reports shows which emails, and which businesses, clicked through to your site.
Replies that send traffic
When you link your site in a reply, Reports shows how many visitors that thread sent, so you know which communities are worth your time.
Directory listings that work
Larvabot's directory listings and backlinks show up in Reports by the site that sent each visit, so you can drop the ones that send nobody.
Client sites for agencies
Install the plugin on each client's site and connect it to that client's project. Each project's reports stay separate.
When WordPress is the right choice
- Seeing which of your emails, replies and listings bring visitors, on a WordPress site you'd rather not edit.
- Agencies connecting several client sites, each to its own Larvabot project.
- Replacing a pasted header snippet that a theme update or a new header plugin can quietly remove.

What it costs
The plugin is free and included in every Larvabot plan, the free trial too. It works with any WordPress host.
Good to know
- Self-hosted WordPress (WordPress.org) and WordPress.com plans that allow plugins. WordPress.com's free plans can't install plugins; use the snippet in a custom-code setting there.
- Visits are counted for the project's own domain, so connect each site to the project with its address.
- Needs WordPress 6.3 or later and PHP 7.4 or later.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a Larvabot WordPress plugin?
Yes. The official Larvabot plugin adds the visitor snippet to every page of your site. It's in the WordPress plugin directory at wordpress.org/plugins/larvabot: in WordPress, open Plugins → Add New Plugin and search for Larvabot.
Do I need to edit my theme or paste code?
No. Install the plugin, open Settings → Larvabot, click Connect to Larvabot and pick your project. You can paste the tracking key by hand if you prefer.
Does the snippet use cookies?
No. It sets no cookies and stores nothing in the visitor's browser, and Larvabot doesn't store IP addresses. It records the page, the referring site, ref and utm tags, and the country.
Will it slow down my site?
No. The script is under 1 KB and loads with defer, so it never blocks the page from showing.
Does it work with WP Rocket, LiteSpeed Cache and other caching plugins?
Yes. Clear the cache once after connecting so cached pages include the snippet.
